Grant Memorial supports a variety of local ministries, including collecting non-perishable food items on the First Sunday of each
month for the Grace Interfaith Food Table, providing monetary assistance for Helping Hands, and conducting a monthly worship service
at the Presque Isle Nursing Home. We also have a very active Prayer Shawl Ministry, which provides a hand-knitted shawl to those undergoing
serious trauma in their lives.
Beginning October 25, 2008, the congregation embarked on the Seven-in-Seven Challenge. During
the next seven months we will be seeking to perform 7,000 hours of mission and community service as a congregation.
On a larger scale,
the church supports the Iglesia de Christo in Nicaragua, the Mechuwana Scholarship Fund, the Battered Women's Project, and the McCurdy
School in New Mexico. We also sponsor a Blanket Sunday, raising contributions to purchase warm blankets for those who have none, and
hold a Thanksgiving Dinner, which provides funds for a designated charity. During 2007/2008, the church raised $11,000 to purchase two
Arks, through Heifer Project International.
